Natural gas
Natural gas is a hydrocarbon gas formed naturally on the earth’s surface due to the decomposition of plant and animal matters over millions of years. It is mainly as a fuel source in industries and domestic cooking process. The hydrocarbon gas mixture contains methane, ethane, propane, butanes, and pentanes, and sometimes it contains carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen, and helium in a small percentage. Natural gas is found naturally on the rock formations below the earth’s surface.
Natural gas used as a heating source in industries of petrochemical, plastic, artificial, and rubber and fuel for vehicles and electricity generation.
Natural Gas Reserve:
Natural Gas Reserve represents the vast existence of natural gas. These reserves are worldwide, and Russia is having the world’s largest natural gas reserves. As of 2018, there are 7,124 trillion cubic feet of proven gas resources in the world.
