Kuwait Zoo is most important tourist attraction place. This is located at Omariya,, It covers an area of around 1, 80,000 sq meters. In 1990’s during Iraqi invasion the park were greatly damaged and number of animals were killed. After the invaders were chased off Kuwait zoo were reconstructed many more new animals were brought in and the zoo was inaugurated in February 1993. It has a entirety number of 1606 animals together with dangerous species. There are rare varieties of birds. Huge surroundings provide animals in the cages.  This park teaches the children about animals and the way how to treat animals. IT also has toy train; it will take you on a tour of the Zoo. There are four main areas, including animal section, cultural center, services and maintenance sector, life sciences section and veterinary clinic. The animals are taken good care and they are provided with A/C cages.

There are various species of animals ranging from dangerous carnivores, like cheetah (cat native), leopards (member of the Felidae), tigers, lions, European wolves (common wolf), and striped hyenas (species of hyena) to playful monkeys, chimpanzees or chimp,  and olive baboons (Anubis baboon) are here., gazelles (swift animals), giraffes, elephants, Himalayan bears, ostriches (Struthio camelus), emus, impalas (medium-sized antelope), crocodile (Reptiles), hippopotamus, zebra, wolves and deer are many more. Also some of colorful birds such as black necked swans, flamingos (wading bird), white eared bulbul, vultures (scavenging bird of prey), Indian mynah, steppe eagle, variety of parrots and etc.., At present, the Kuwait Zoo has 65+ species of animals, 129+ species of birds and five species of reptiles. This is a Must visit tourist spot by family and kids.
